Title: Muses and the Downside to Inspiration
Characters/Pairing: Becky/Annie
Word Count: 203
Rating: G
Summary: Annie's getting really sick of muses.
Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] doreyg's request for the alphabet meme. The request was "Becky/Annie, inspired". Also for [livejournal.com profile] meritinabox #28, obstacles to love.
Disclaimer: Annie belongs to me, Becky to [livejournal.com profile] starletfallen. The Rift owns little pieces of all of our souls.

Annie was getting really sick of muses. It was nothing against them personally - she usually took no notice of them at all - but whenever they went anywhere near Becky...

Annie sighed dramatically, sitting cross-legged on the bed and just watching Becky as she scrawled lyrics in the two or three notebooks scattered across the desk, alternating between them at random intervals. Becky, disappointingly, took absolutely no notice of Annie's dramatics.

"I'm bored," she announced.

"Mmm," Becky said in an entirely uninterested tone. Never mind uninterested, she didn't even really hear that.

"Ferdinand's turning into a pterodactyl."

Becky paused, tapping her pen against the desk briefly before starting to write again. "That's great."

"A purple one. With green spots."

Ferdinand butted his head against Annie's hand. She scratched his ears while frowning discontentedly at the back of Becky's head.

"If I started taking all my clothes off now, you wouldn't even notice, would you?"

Becky swiveled around to face her, blinking in confusion. "Huh?"

Annie blinked at her for a moment herself, and then let out a giggle, her smile just a little smug. "Well, I didn't expect that to work. Neat!"

"No, really. What did you just say?"

Everything Annie does is full of cute. ...And occasionally randomly crazy, as demonstrated by the pterodactyl bit.

Crazy and cute are very good!

Tell Annie that she has a fangirl, because she is extremely cute and occasionally a dragon!

*SNORTS*

Oh that was priceless. I could not stop giggling throughout and THE ENDING. Oh girls.

"Ferdinand's turning into a pterodactyl."

I am completely amused by that line. I just keep rereading it and getting the biggest grin on my face. Hee.

Annie is a special, special girl and I adore her. (See! I can write things that aren't angst! Just... not very long things.)

YES TAKE ALL OF YOUR CLOTHES OFF!!!!

>>"

Oh, come on, I couldn't have been the only one shouting that. Even if it was 'metaphorical in my head so as not to disturb people' shouting.

Also, hi, this is very adorable and so incredibly giggle worthy. Yay happy little fics that make me happy! :D *GLEEs*!

No. It's okay. I really want Annie to take all of her clothes off too. Why does that never happen? *Sighs* Becky? Get with the program.
