Benny held his breath as he unlocked the door of his dorm room and pushed it open. It was hard to believe he was this nervous, coming home from winter break, but the frantic beating of his heart proved him wrong. He shouldn't be getting this nervous. For God's sake, Mark might not even be here yet...
He was. As Benny opened the door, Mark looked up from unpacking his things, and gave him a cautious, hesitant smile.
"Hey, Benny..."
"Hey. Um." Benny shifted in the doorway. "I missed you."
"I missed you too," Mark said quietly. A moment passed, in which they both seemed to hold their breath, and then Mark rushed forward to kiss Benny, right there in the doorway. All traces of nervousness went away then and there.
