Benny pretended not to notice the conversation between Mark and his friend, tried concentrate on reading, but found it... difficult, all things considered.

"I'm going to fail, Roger," Mark groaned. "I can't do this, and I'm going to fail."

Roger was silent for a moment. "I heard if your roommate kills himself, you'll get an automatic A. That could work. Hey, Benny?"

Benny looked over at him, eyebrows raised.

"Will you kill yourself to help Mark out?"

Benny blinked at him for a moment, and slowly turned away. He'd already learned to ignore almost anything that came from Roger's mouth.
